Course description

Beginning Art will introduce art concepts; themes; medias; design principles; and guidelines used in producing original artwork. Students will learn to draw; paint; and sculpt using creative class planning and various techniques. They will be introduced to Art History through various presentations. They will also gain a strong understanding of how to constructively critique the artwork created by themselves and their peers. Open houses (art exhibits) will allow students to present their artwork to an outside audience (family; teachers and peers).
