Course description

Advanced Art will expand the content and knowledge obtained from both the beginning and intermediate classes. Students are given the opportunity to create and implement their own art projects using different medium with an expanded list of resources and materials. Students will continue to study Art History and various artists. They will exhibit a strong understanding of how to constructively critique the artwork created by themselves and their peers. Open houses (art exhibits) will allow students to present their artwork to an outside audience (family; teachers and peers). Students may be chosen as a member of the national Art Honor Society with a grade of B or better in the Beginning or Intermediate art classes. . Students may repeat this course multiple years for credit.
