Course description

This culturally relevant course is an in-depth study of the major developments of the Mexican American- Chicano/a experience in American history that encompasses the indigenous era through the present. Students will engage in critical thinking and analysis of historic events to develop their knowledge of self; community; and contemporary issues impacting Mexican Americans. This course provides students with an understanding of the significant role of Mexican Americans in shaping the past; present and future of the United States.
