Course description

This course will investigate the numerous movements; thinkers; and ideologies that have permeated history. Students will read primary works from political philosophers such as John Locke; Niccolo
Machiavelli; Karl Marx; and Edmund Burke and analyze how political theory has shaped American Government. In addition; there will be an emphasis on dialogue throughout the year. This
course is part of the IB Diploma Programme. NOTE: This is a weighted course. NOTE: This course meets the graduation requirement for Government.
