Course description

Students will explore alternative means of applying photographic images on a variety of surfaces using traditional and innovative darkroom methods. Instruction will include demonstrations; lectures; exercises in working with various photo processes. Students will implement and explore photo processes and printing in the darkroom; silkscreen; as well as other mediums. Field trips to museums; studios; and businesses around our community will introduce students to the vast and exciting careers available in the field of art. Guest artists will share their skills and experiences in their area of expertise as they work with students in the classroom.
