Course description

Students will further explore the concepts of sculpture as they create 3D works of art with clay; wood; wire; glass; metal and 3D printing. This course is dedicated to building upon the students established foundation of knowledge and skill as it pertains to tools; materials and processes. Students will begin to narrow their scope with the goal of creating a unified body of work. An artist website and digital portfolio will be created and grow to be a big resource for college and internship opportunities. Students will learn how to market their artwork and apply for a multitude of opportunities available in the community. Field trips to museums; studios; and businesses around our community will introduce students to the vast and exciting careers available in the field of art. Guest artists will share their skills and experiences in their area of expertise as they work with students in the classroom.
