Course description

Comprehensive Musicianship is a course in which students will advance their musical knowledge and skills through multiple forms of instruction; primarily ones involving music technology. Students will synthesize musical materials and discover conceptual connections through individual & group performance; formal analysis; and composition. Students will learn and demonstrate music creation skills and composition techniques. They will use production techniques to perform their created works and audio recording techniques to capture the performances. Skills in keyboard; guitar; vocals; and any other necessary instruments will be acquired. The “How-to” of creating music for a certain audience or a specific instruction will be developed; often through composing music for other NVAA components.
