Course description

Students will meet in small groups of matched or like instrument/voice. They will receive instruction on the specific pedagogy for their primary instrument/voice and have regular studio opportunities to perform for each other in solo and/or small group ensemble formats. They will learn to listen; evaluate; and give constructive feedback to fellow performers. This class will provide the opportunity to split into smaller groups in order to prepare and perform solo and ensemble literature. The students will publicly perform at least four times throughout the year in an NVAA Daily Ensemble for Chorus/Band/Strings. Faculty members from area colleges may make several visits throughout the year to work with voice/instrumental sectional classes and small ensembles. Students will repeat course each year while advancing to the next ability level.
