Course description

Honors Innovation in Bioscience and Engineering is a rigorous course designed to engage students in the emerging field of nanoscience through application and laboratory experiments. Students will explore the connections among STEM subjects; specifically bioscience; engineering; and physics in this interdisciplinary course. Principle concepts involve innovations in biomedical engineering from material science and medical devices to biomimicry and bioremediation in environmental studies. Students in this course are expected to have a basic understanding of scientific principles in physics and biology. Students will work independently and in teams while learning cutting-edge science.
