This course is a continuation of Cabinetmaking I; but designed for the student who really wants a challenge. In depth study as well as attainment of precise skills in design; fabrication; assembly; and finishing are required as well as participation in class units in the student organization Skills/USA.
Requisites for Honors Classification: The Honors portion of this class requires students to write a research paper and perform an in-class multi-component presentation along with completing an appropriately challenging finished product of quality workmanship. An “Exit Test” from the Woodworking/Carpentry Industry may also be required. Students are only allowed in the Optional Honors portion of this class with the application to; review by; and permission of the instructor. Students must also be enrolled in two other honors classes and students are expected to maintain a letter grade of “B” or higher to stay in the Optional Honors area of this class.
