Course description

Students at this level; known as editors and managers; will work directly with the adviser and yearbook representative to create the yearbook. They will plan the entire yearbook page layout at the start of the year and create a list of the tasks to be completed in order to publish the yearbook. These tasks include photographing and videoing all school events; interviewing students and staff; gather data; editing photos; designing layouts; etc. Students will all be responsible to manage the business side of yearbook sales; marketing and campaign.
Because this is a rigorous course and self-motivation is such an important part of this curriculum; students who cannot work at this level and have a “D” or “F” at semester will not be allowed to continue the course the following semester. Students will have the opportunity to participate in SkillsUSA.
