Course description

This course is designed to introduce students to the foundations of computer programming and coding. This course is the first course in the two Carnegie unit in the Software Development CTE Program. Computer Programming II; which will be offered during the 2018-2019 school year. Students will be introduced to the fundamental concepts of programming that can be applied across a variety of projects and languages. Computer Science is an essential step for implementing STEM practices into our schools and supporting the need to STEM fueled careers and college majors. The Arizona CTE Department has a math crosswalk which will support the math taught in Algebra I and II. Prerequisite: Algebra I
