Course description

Explore the organization of the human body and how it works. Acquire knowledge necessary to understand what the body is doing and how you can help the body cope with many different situations. Body systems will be studied in order to understand how their structure; location; and function allow for interaction with other parts of the body.

This is a high school Anatomy and Physiology course designed to meet the  state standards as well as the appropriate national standards. It is a regular Anatomy and Physiology course; with honors lessons and assessments included for the students who are taking the course for honors credit.  Each segment has three modules. Each of these modules has a pretest in the first lesson; with the opportunity for students to be exempt from certain lessons based on the exemption guidelines provided to instructors.  There is a discussion-based assessment and regular and honors module exam at the end of each module. Students will be required to complete one collaborative assignment within each segment. There is one collaboration assignment option found at the end of each module.
