Course description

This course provides an integrated sequence of instruction in the language arts state standards. Thematic units continue instruction in the process skills and knowledge necessary to meet District and State graduation requirements in Language Arts. A variety of selections; both expressive-descriptive and informative-expository will be analyzed. Writing assignments will emphasize using the writing process to develop and support a thesis through persuasive wilting techniques. Students who cam below 70% will not be eligible to take the next level course. Students are provided social; communication; and sensory interventions in order to successfully access the curriculum. This course is taught by a highly qualified special education teacher.
