Course Description:† Applied Science is a junior/senior elective designed to address the essential state standards taught in chemistry at a more conceptual level.† Additionally; this course will also review the other physical science essential standards.

Suggested Student Demographic:†

• Students who struggle with mathematics/reading and would be unlikely to be successful in Chemistry.
• Special education
• Students who have earned low grades in ISP and Biology and are less likely to succeed in Chemistry.

†Approximately 25% of course time will be spent in lab activities.
