Course description

This course is a studio-based course that introduces students to elements and principles of art and their applications in different digital media; such as digital art & photography. Students will learn industry-standard software; and will combine these skills with planning; process; and imagination to create a wide range of projects involving digital illustration and photo manipulation.† Some emphasis will be placed on the interactive relationship between art and graphic design; as well as the evolution of art in the digital age and the various styles that have emerged as a result. Also stressed is independence; problem solving; time management; and creativity. Students may repeat this course multiple years for credit.†
