Students will be expected to successfully investigate and perform higher cognitive demand tasks that maintain the complexity of the discipline. This course uses laboratory activities; simulations; images; and interactive†elements to cover the broad concepts upon which modern chemistry rests. This includes mathematics of science; atomic structure (periodicity bonding) chemical nomenclature; chemical reactions; stoichiometry; gases; kinetics and equilibrium; acids and bases; and energy processes.†
