Course description

African American Literature is a semester-long course that examines African-American literature from the 1700's to modern times.† Through exposure to authors whose ideas and values reflected diverse backgrounds; as well as inquiry; collaboration; critical thinking; composition and discussion; students will develop their skills in research; oral and written argumentation and the analysis of textual evidence.† Students will appreciate the differences and similarities among all people.
