Course description

This course is for students who have shown proficiency in Algebra 1, Geometry, and will address topics identified in the Arizona Mathematics Standards. Students will explore the real number system, complex number system, quadratics, sequences and series, polynomials, functions, rationals, exponents, statistics, and probability. This course and Algebra 2 STEM will start out the same first semester. Second semester this course will focus on the skills that support more of the non-STEM field, and will prepare students who would like to major in this area. A student proficient in this course will have the skills to be successful in College Mathematics or Statistics.
