Course description

In this year-long course; students will learn how to use American Sign Language to express ideas about day to day life; the family; and the community. In this language that is different from English; students will be introduced and become proficient in the concept of visual communication. The class will explore Deaf Culture including art and per-formance as well as learn the history of the Deaf in the United States
