Course description

This Advanced Placement course is designed to be the equivalent of a college-level modern European history survey course. Students will use inquiry to investigate significant events; individuals; developments; and processes from approximately 1450 to the present. Students will study primary and secondary sources evidence; analyze a wide array of historical evidence and perspectives; and express historical arguments in writing. The course provides seven themes that students explore in order to make connections among historical developments in different times and places. Students who complete this course are encouraged to take the Advanced Placement European History Exam.†
