Course description

This AdvancedPlacementcourseis designed to be equivalent of a two-semester introductory college human geography or cultural geography course. Students will use inquiry to study the patterns and processes that have shaped human understanding; use; and alteration of Earth?s surface. Students employ spatial conceptsandlandscape analysisto examine socio-economic organization and its environmental consequences. Theyalsolearnaboutthe methodsandtools geographersuseintheir research and applications. Students who complete this course are encouraged to take the Advanced Placement Human Geography Exam.
