Course description

This class covers the basic structure of atoms; how atoms combine to produce molecules; scientific measurement; qualitative and quantitative analysis; properties and behavior of matter; interactions of matter; and how symbols and formulas are used to write chemical equations. Special emphasis is placed on the development of laboratory skills and stresses the use of logical analysis.
