The Medical Assisting Services program prepares students to participate in teams, solve problems, think critically and implement
effective foundations, experiential learning, supervised occupational experience, leadership and Physical Education through the Career
and Technical Student Organization known as HOSA (Health Occupations Students of America). This course will include extensive
hands-on instruction, students will acquire skills to assist doctors in all phases of medicine and skills needed for medical and allied
health careers. Affiliations with local community college programs can provide students with dual or concurrent credit that may be
applied toward their postsecondary certificate or degree. Prerequisite: Biology.
