Course description

This course is a lab-based course designed to introduce students to different means of creating digital art. Using Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop; students will learn digital imaging and manipulation skills to create a wide variety of projects. These can include self-portraits; photo editing; digital illustration; and digital painting; and will be done entirely on the computer. Emphasis will also be placed on understanding the evolution of art in the digital age and thevarious styles that have emerged as a result. Also stressed is independence; problem solving; time management; and creativity.
