Course description

This course is a studio-based course that introduces students to elements and principles of art and their applications in different digital media, such as digital art, photography and videography. Students will learn industry-standard Adobe Suite software, and will combine these skills with planning, process, and imagination to create a wide range of projects involving digital illustration, photo manipulation, sound design, video editing and animation. This course is an introduction to digital media and will give students the tools to get started with various skills in the field from which they can build on further if they choose to pursue deeper knowledge in the future. Students will produce original works of art as they develop portfolios, jury their work, participate in gallery displays at school. Also stressed is independence, problem solving, time management, and creativity.
