Course description

This course is an introductory art course which focuses on the elements and principles of art and design. Students will explore a variety of techniques which include: painting, watercolor, oil, acrylic, ink, charcoal, mixed media, and printmaking. Students will use materials expressively to create original works. Students have the opportunity to present finished products and critically discuss, analyze, and evaluate them. Students who complete this course will be prepared for Drawing and Painting 2.
