Mastery of the AZ English Language Proficiency Standards will be the focus of this course with the AZ English standards for English 10 embedded as students develop their English proficiency through the use of a variety of text types and genres and will be able to communicate effectively about them. This will include learning to complete in-depth analysis of functional, expository, persuasive, and literary texts, as well as poetry, drama, and novels. Students will work to enhance their communication and problem-solving skills by developing the ability to provide support for their opinions.
