Mastery of the AZ English Language Proficiency Standards (ELPS) is the focus of this course with AZ standards embedded as student develop their English proficiency through the study of American Literature. Writing skills, Rhetoric, usage and vocabulary building are also practiced. A research project is required for this course's completion. This project requires a passing grade for the first semester. This course meets all the requirements in the Arizona College and Career Standards for junior level English course.
