Course description

English: The goal is to analyze literature and informational text in order to fully comprehend the stages of genocide that took place during the Holocaust. Students will be required to evaluate and compare multiple sources of information to determine the cause and effect of the genocide. They will complete numerous pieces of writing surrounding their readings and research readying students to evaluate the validity of arguments. “In 2021, House Bill 2241 was signed into law requiring students to receive instruction in the Holocaust and other genocides at least once in either grade seven or grade eight and at least once in high school in their social studies courses.
