Mastery of the AZ English Language Proficiency Standards will be the focus of this course with the AZ English Standards for English 9 embedded as students develop their English proficiency through the use of a variety of text types and genres and will be able to communicate effectively about them. This will include learning to complete in-depth analysis of functional, expository, persuasive, and literary texts, as well as poetry, drama, and novels. Students will work to enhance their communication and problem-solving skills by developing the ability to provide support for their opinions.
