Course description

This course examines Hollywood Musical films and historical dramas.† The course goal will be for the students to learn about American History through watching musical feature films and historical dramas; adding the musical aspect to the mix shall provide student with musical history of the 1920's; 1930's; 1940's and 1950's.† Students will view the various topics in movies and musicals of these eras; participationg in discussions; write essays and/or complete projects on various elements; (actors; directors; location; historical significance; and music from the deginated eras.
