Financial Algebra College Prep. 2 1 Credit
This course is designed to cover financial literacy topics incorporated into the following units of study: taking charge of your finances, earnings and taxes, savings, investing, and spending (credit, loans, insurance, cars, and home ownership). Students will use the algebra skills developed in previous course work within the application of the material and selected topics from Algebra II and Statistics will be introduced. The textbook used is Financial Algebra. Students will be engaged in technology related activities. Assessment will be based upon tests, quizzes, in-class activities and take-home activities. Admission to the course is dependent upon successful completion of Introduction to Algebra II.
