This course introduces essential financial management skills through a range of practical topics, including saving, budgeting, debt management, consumer awareness, education and career planning, taxes, investing, insurance, real estate, and mortgage concepts such as amortization. Students will engage in real-world applications aligned with the Arizona Mathematics Standards, focusing on defining and interpreting quantities, analyzing parameters, evaluating graphical models, and writing and solving equations that describe relationships between variables. The course will also explore exponential growth and decay—such as continuous and compound interest—and utilize various formulas and statistical tools to represent and interpret data.
