Forensic science is a laboratory course that examines the application of laboratory science to criminal investigation. The role of the crime laboratory is presented in the context of forensic science. Student focus on crime-scene processing and the detection, collection, and presentation of evidence for examination and court use. Crime-scene recording, evidence collection, equipment and analysis, serology, anthropology, odontology, DNA, drugs, trace evidence, fingerprints, firearms, and entomology are some of the topics that are covered in this course.School Country

Per ABOR Requirement, "A Laboratory Science course is defined as a course in which at least 1 class period each week is devoted to providing an opportunity for students to manipulate equipment, materials, or specimens, to develop skills in observation and analysis, and to discover, demonstrate, illustrate, or test scientific principles or concepts, such as chemistry, physics, earth sciences and biology."
In order to be reviewed as a laboratory science, we will need a list of laboratory experiments completed for this course and number of hours students spend doing laboratory assignments each week.
