Forensic Science is the application of science (chemistry, physics, and biology) through hands-on labs and learning initiatives that will lead students through a foundation of law and criminal justice, history of forensics, and modern scientific advances in the field. Topics include the investigation of fingerprinting, fiber analysis, ballistics, trace evidence analysis, poisons, drugs, blood samples and spatters, behavioral analysis, and the role of computers in Forensics. Students are taught the proper collection, preservation, and laboratory analysis of various samples. Students will participate in 18 hours of lab work. Prerequisite: Biology and Chemistry
