This course will begin with an introduction to Civics in preparation for the state Civics Exam requirement.
The remainder of the course will cover the history of the United States and the World from Westward
Expansion through the 1920’s. Emphasis will be on a critical analysis of the political, economic, cultural,
geographical, and social forces that shaped historical events and influenced decisions for America’s
future both within the country and in the international arena.
