7021/7022 Honors Molecular Biology Weighted Grade Year 1.0 Credit Prerequisites: 9th grade; test scores; and teacher recommendation Fee: $7.50 per semester A study of life and life processes from a biochemical perspective. Topics of study include scientific inquiry; biochemistry; cell structure and function; energy; genetics; evolution; and ecology. This Honors/Pre-AP weighted class requires mastery and application of skills acquired throughout both semesters providing a comprehensive view of topics relevant to biological study today. This course places greater emphasis on reading of scientific research; scientific inquiry laboratory investigations; critical thinking and mathematical analysis of experimental data than Molecular Biology (Course 7025). Summer work will be required prior to taking this course. This is a lab science course
