Course description

This course is a continued exploration of the study of literature and encourages students to appreciate the artistry of literature and to continue the development of an ability to reflect critically on their reading. Skills focus upon close reading techniques; language effects and written literary and rhetorical analysis. Works are studied in their literary and cultural contexts; through areas of exploration and key concepts in order to identify global issues. Instruction and assignments prepare students for the compulsory IB exams. This course is part of the IB Diploma Programme. NOTE: This is a weighted course.
