This course aims to enable students to unify the knowledge they have acquired in a dispersed fashion during their schooling. This is an opportunity to reflect upon their acquired knowledge so that they may discern what in any subject distinguishes the subjective from the objective, the particular from the universal, and opinion from scientific knowledge. Students will consider logical symbolism, the formation of scientific concepts, mathematics and reality, the nature and basis of moral, political, and aesthetic judgments, and the implications of opinion, faith, knowledge, and truth. This course is required for the IB diploma.
