Course description

Introduction to Chemistry covers the basic principles of general chemistry for students not majoring in a Stem discipline. In this course, you will learn to describe chemical principles and apply them to your daily life. You’ll also learn to relate the macroscopic world (what you see) to the microscopic world where chemistry takes place. Finally, you will explore different branches of chemistry and their applications, including atmospheric chemistry, biochemistry, environmental chemistry, and organic chemistry. It’s recommended that you complete Introduction to Chemistry (this course) simultaneously with Introduction to Chemistry Lab, so you fully experience the application and real-world relevance of the subject.
