Introduction to the Humanities engages students in an interdisciplinary study of the human experience through literature, history, philosophy, art, film, and music. Through interpretation, writing, and discussion, it is a catalyst for essential habits of mind — critical thinking, close reading, analytical writing, and academic debate — that support success in future Social Studies courses and across the curriculum. It is a team-taught, two-period block class for students looking for an interdisciplinary approach to English Language Arts and Social Studies.
This is an NCAA approved course.
