Previously ABOR approved with title "Basic Junior English"
Based on the Arizona English Language Arts Standards with a focus on grade band anchor standards, Junior English Essentials provides students with the skills and knowledge to become critical readers and writers by analyzing key ideas and details, craft and structure, and the integration of knowledge and ideas in American Literature and informational text. This course will also advance students’ knowledge of the conventions of Standard English and will strengthen vocabulary acquisition and use. Approval is required to enroll in this course.
