In this Chemistry Video Labs course, students will apply the concepts they have learned in their chemistry course by watching and/or performing hands-on labs and activities.

The mole concept
Stoichiometry
Limiting and excess reagents
Empirical and molecular formulas
Percent composition by mass
Molarity and molality
Freezing point depression and boiling point elevation
Properties of acids and bases
Acid/base titration
The gas laws
Calorimetry
Enthalpy and entropy
Gibb’s free energy and thermodynamically-favorable reactions
Reduction/oxidation (redox) reactions
Reaction rate and Collision Theory
Chemical equilibrium, reversible reactions, and Le Chatelier’s Principle
Each lesson contains printable instructions and recording sheet, a video review of the concepts used in the lab, a video demonstration of the lab, sample calculations, and an answer key. Additional resources are supplied for many lessons if the student wishes to take learning further.
Students can complete the labs themselves, or simply watch the video labs and use the measurements from the videos to complete the calculations and answer the questions on the recording sheet.

The labs in this course require lab equipment, including beakers, graduated cylinders, a digital mass scale, and other items. A list of lab supplies can be viewed below.
