This fourth-year math course introduces students to the fundamental concepts of statistics with an emphasis on preparing them to be college, career, and community ready. Students will explore data collection, organization, analysis, and interpretation; study probability, data distributions, and inference; and apply statistical methods to real-world contexts. The course emphasizes practical applications, critical thinking, and effective communication of statistical findings, equipping students with the skills needed to make informed decisions and to succeed in postsecondary statistics courses as well as in future career and community settings.
