Marine Science is a laboratory course that covers the physical and biological aspects of the marine environment. Topics of study
are: physical characteristics of ocean waves, sea water, seafloor topography, tides, shorelines; the anatomy and physiology of
marine animals and plants, their interactions with each other and their physical environment, and man’s interactions with the
ocean. Open to students in grades 10-12 who have credit in Biology 1. Marine Science is a college preparatory class.
