Course description

This rigorous one-year course is designed for students who have successfully completed Algebra 2. In preparation for college-level mathematics; the focus of this course is the study of advanced mathematical topics and their applications. Emphasis is on refining problem solving skills through modeling and project based learning. Instructional practices incorporate integration of diversity awareness including appreciation of all cultures and their important contributions to society. The use of technology; including calculators or computer software; is an integral part of this course. This course fills one of the mathematics credits required for high school graduation.
