Native American Literature is a semester-long course that integrates writing for a variety of purposes and audiences with the study of a variety of literary genres that are representative of tribes throughout Arizona and the United States. Coursework content includes critical reading and thinking; participation in class discussions; composition; and research. Universal themes are also explored through fiction; non-fiction; and poetry selections.
