Course description

The purpose of Natural Resources is to increase awareness of our local community and the impact of humans on its ecology through the study of watersheds and forests. An emphasis will be placed upon practical field and lab experiences and teaching younger students. Working together with our local watershed council; students will be asked to monitor the health of nearby streams and forests using a variety of tests. Mentoring 7th grade students at the middle school are also part of the curriculum and an expectation. Students must be willing to do field work in all types of weather.
