Nutrition Science provides an exploration of nutrition (the study of how food nourishes the body) while acknowledging its grounding in science. The course includes an introduction to the role of nutrition in health, focusing on essential nutrients, human anatomy related to nutrition, energy balance, the body’s response to physical activity, the role of different ingredients in food preparation, genetic modification of foods, factors that affect eating habits, nutrition advertising, nutrition and disease, establishing a healthy lifestyle and more.
